Evacuations and hozpitalizations
We organize medical evacuations from the de-occupied and frontline territories of the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Also we help low-mobile people from these territories to get to hospitals and organize hospitalizations.

Older people from Sloviansk
12.07.22
Evacuated an older man from the Polissya village on the highway Sloviansk – Bakhmut. There are a lot of embankments and barriers. Only military jeeps and equipment drive there. In that zone, russian soldiers were already seen. It was the first time military said to our volunteers to put on body armour.
The older man has type 2 diabetes. He has a high sugar level, is weak and has lost 25 kg. The cure was running out. But at the same time, his family still lives in the village there, they are all old and can barely walk, but they say they have nowhere to go. Their lives are there.
We also evacuated a 74-year-old lady from Sloviansk. The city is big, so there are still people although everything looks empty. There is usually no water, gas, or electricity. Sometimes if possible, it is turned on for half a day, but for the last three days they have lived without it.

An older man
11.07.22
We transported an older man from the hospital in Mykolaiv. His son died, so the man went to his daughter in Dnipro. After covid, he has many complications like anaemia, problems with memory and severe pneumonia. He is powerless and does not stand on his feet.
His daughter is a doctor and says the man promised to dance at her wedding (her future husband is a military man, so they decided to get married). So the man promises to get back on his feet.
The road was about 450 km. We made a stop in the field to rest and cheer up the man. He had spent much time in hospitals, so we stood for 15 minutes, enjoying the landscape, a cake and simple water. The man had tears and said: "look what the field, how beautiful Ukraine is".
Two days after we evacuated the man, russians shelled the hospital in Mykolaiv from where we took him.

Paralyzed lady
08.06.22
We evacuated an old lady with her daughter from Kramatorsk, to where they evacuated earlier from the village near Slovjansk. The lady has been paralyzed for 14 years. Her legs and one arm do not work.
They had a lot of things to take with them, everything they had. But thanks to an ambulance size, we managed to take everything they needed.
It was difficult on the way because of the nerves, heat outside and pressure. Lady felt nausea and had low saturation. Volunteer paramedics provided some treatment to the lady. Now she is safe in Dnipro.
They searched for evacuation options for seven days, and we were the 8th organization they contacted because others could not help the lady.

Young boy
06.2022
We transported the baby boy with his parents from Dnipro to Chișinău. Boy was in the intensive care unit before and needed severe treatment.
This was one of the hardest evacuations we had. Boy had ten epileptic cases per day, convulsions. Fortunately and thanks to all efforts of the volunteer paramedic boy got to the destination.
From Chișinău family had a medical plane to Germany. Now boy gets needed treatment and feels much better.

92 years old Zinaida
06.2022
The first evacuation we organized for 92 years old Zinaida. She was evacuated to Lviv from northern Saltovka in Kharkiv, one of the places where the shelling and destruction took place the most.
Zinaida has a daughter who evacuated to Germany before. She found a place for her mother to stay but didn't know how to transport her because Zinaida needed to go in the supine position.
"Ukraine - We are here" helped us to bring Zinaida from Lviv across the border to Przemyśl, where another ambulance of the German team of paramedics #taxiforsolidarity met them and took further.
